Worcester Porcelain - 1st Period including James Giles Decorated

Beautiful Worcester Shaped Cup c1765.

A lovely Worcester porcelain shaped cup, decorated with a variation of the Gold Queens pattern with polychrome and gold floral sprigs within the panels.  It is unmarked, dates to c1765 and is in very fine condition with just a little wear to the gold on the rim.

Lovely Worcester Shaped Cup with Oriental Figure Decoration.

A fine Worcester porcelain shaped cup, decorated with a chinoiserie pattern of Chinese figures.  It is unmarked, dates to c1765 and is in fine condition except for a little wear to the gilding on the rim.

Worcester Coffee Cup with Oriental Figures.


This is a super first period Worcester coffee cup decorated with oriental figures c1768.  In lovely condition though with a little wear to the gilding round the rim.

 Lovely 1st Period Worcester Tea Cup & Saucer in the Queens Pattern.


A very fine Worcester porcelain tea cup and saucer, decorated with a version of the Queens Pattern with Oriental style chrysanthemums and sunflowers in panels between rich blue bands.  Both pieces are marked with a fretted square and are in very fine condition.

Unusual and Rare Ribbed Worcester Coffee Cup c1775.


An unusual and rare ribbed coffee cup, made at Worcester c1775.  It's decorated with green and gilt stylised flowers with a green laurel wreath around the base.  Inside the gilt rim is a green saw-toothed border.  The handle is of an unusual and rare shape. 

There is some slight roughness to the gilt rim, otherwise in fine condition.

Superb Very Early Worcester Porcelain Coffee Cup, c1758.

A very fine and early 1st period Worcester porcelain coffee cup of slightly shaped form, vividly decorated with multi-coloured flowers.  Dating to c1758, it has a very fine gold rim and is in superb condition.  It is unmarked.

Pretty Early Worcester Tea Bowl c1770.

This is a very pretty early Worcester tea bowl, finely potted and decorated with a variation of the Queens Pattern.  It dates to c1770, is unmarked and is in fine condition.

First Period Worcester Fluted Hop Trellis Pattern Tea Bowl & Saucer.


A wonderful first period fluted tea bowl and saucer from the Worcester factory of Dr Wall, dating to c1770.  They're decorated in the hop trellis pattern with the saucer marked with a script W in underglaze blue.  The cup is unmarked.  In very fine condition with just some light wear to the gilding.

1st Period Worcester Tea Bowl & Saucer c1770.

This is a very fine and delicate porcelain tea bowl and saucer, made at Worcester c1770.  They are decorated with kakiemon style pattern of crysanthemums and sheaves set in gold decorated panels within a scale blue ground.  Both pieces are very thinly and delicately potted.  The tea bowl is marked with a hatched square and the saucer with a hollow crescent.  Both are in very fine condition.

Lovely Worcester "Compagnie des Indes" Cup and Saucer


A beautiful 1st period Worcester porcelain coffee cup and saucer, decorated in the Compagnie des Indes style.  Unmarked, but with the distinctive Worcester glaze retreat to the base.  In fine condition, just some very minor wear to the rims.

Unusual Worcester Coffee Cup  with Floral & Insect Decoration.


This beautiful porcelain coffee cup, made at Worcester c1768, has floral sprig and insect decoration.  It's in lovely condition.

An almost identical coffee cup is displayed at the Museum of Worcester Porcelain with an attribution to James Giles.
