This is hardback book, published in 1906 and looks at the manufacture of porcelain in China, Japan and Europe including English porcelain through the ages beginning in the 14th century.  There are over 260 pages with 50 half tone plates.  Because of the importance of the book, it is reproduced on demand today, facsimile copies being available.  This is a scarce first edition printed on ragged edge paper offered at a lower price than some of the new copies!

Condition.
  Very good condition but with no dust jacket.  There is fading to the spine and a name and date of a previous owner written inside the cover.  Otherwise, apart from a little foxing, in very good condition.

Lowestoft Porcelain in Norwhich Castle Museum Vol. 1.

Published by Norwich Museums Service in 1975, this first volume covers Blue & White Lowestoft porcelain and also excavated material from the site of the factory.  It is a large, softback book listing almost 700 items ranging from fragments to wonderful surviving pieces.  Many are photographed, though all in black & white.

Condition.  This is generally very good.  There is some light discolouration to the cover with one or two marks and minor creases.  There is also a rubbed out pencil mark on the title page but otherwise in very good used condition.

A softback book published in 1985, detailing the collection of polychrome Lowestoft porcelain held at Norwich Castle Museum.  The collection is fully catalogued here and most are photographed in either colour or black & white.  A comprehensive and invaluable reference work..

Condition.  But for fading to the spine, the book is in splendid condition.

Concise Marks & Monograms on Pottery & Porcelain.

This is an indispensible handbook detailing the marks to be found on European and Oriental pottery and porcelain.  If you've ever scratched your head and wondered where a mark was from, then this book could well help with attribution.  This edition was reprinted in 1989 and has an original cover price of £25.

Condition.  In excellent used condition.  The dust jacket has a short 1/4 inch tear at the rear corner of the spine but is in otherwise very good condition.  Inside there is an old rubbed out pencil price inside the fly leaf and all the pages exhibit some light foxing.

Published in 1984, this hardback book is the combined work of two of the acknowledged experts on Derby and Worcester porcelain.  The first half of the book deals with landscape artists from all three major Derby factories, Nottingham Road, King Street and Osmaston Road.  Then the second half looks at the work done at all the major Worcester factories, including Flight, Barr, Chamberlains, Grainger, right through to Royal Worcester.  With numerous colour and black & white photos of the artists work.
