Derby Coffee Can & Saucer with Grape and Vine Pattern Decoration
c1815.
A Derby can and saucer, decorated with a blue and gold grape and vine pattern, dating
to c1815. Both pieces have the usual Derby red mark. There is some wear to the gilding and usual glaze crazing.
Some of the crazing on the saucer shows up as cracks when held to a back light, but without the light these do not appear
to go through the body. The can does not have this problem and is in good condition apart from the wear to the gilding.

Rare Derby Sucrier
with Landscapes by Robertson c1810.
A very fine and rare shaped Derby sucrier with a landscape to each side, probably the work of George
Robertson. It is most unusual to find a sucrier of this shape, which would never have had a cover. We have seen
one other in a standard pattern. To find one with two Robertson landscapes makes it a very rare find. Marked with
the usual Derby crossed batton mark and dating to c1810. In fine condition with just a little wear to the gilding, on
the rim and handles.

Beautiful Hand Painted
Derby Botanical Plate c1815.
This is a lovely Derby plate, beautifully hand painted with five individual sprays of flowers linked to give a garland
effect round the edge of the plate, with a further floral spray in the centre, c1815. It is marked with in red with
the usual Derby mark for the period and has a sticker for the Mary Farquharson collection together with an old dealers ticket
giving a description of the plate. The pattern of decoration on this plate is more unusual than the botanical
decoration generally found at this time which, together with the provenance, makes this a particularly interesting
and desirable piece.
Condition is good, with just light wear to the gilding around the rim and very fine all over
crazing, usual in Derby porcelain of this period. The plate measures about 8.75 inches in diameter.

for Derby of this period, and some light discolouration. Otherwise a stunning piece.

Rare Derby Plate with Japan Style Decoration, c1805.
A very unusual and presumably quite rare Derby fluted plate brightly decorated with
an Oriental style pattern of chrysanthemums, bamboo fences, tree stumps etc, a stylised version of the kakiemon patterns of
the mid to late 1700's usually found on Worcester porcelain. Incorporated into the design is the seaweed pattern
produced at Derby c1800. It's marked with a neat red Derby mark of crown, crossed batons dots and D and dates to
the early 1800's. We have not come across this pattern before and consider it to be an exciting find.

Fabulous Derby Lozenge
Shaped Dish, c1815 .
A very fine and impressive Derby lozenge-shaped dish, decorated with a sumptuous bouquet of flowers with more
individual flowers to the corners. It dates to c1815, is marked in red with the usual Derby mark and has a sticker relating
to the Mary Farquharson collection. It measures about 11 inches in length and is about 1.75 inches deep.
In generally very fine condition though with a couple of spots of stacking wear and a very tiny pin-head
sized chip to the rear of the rim. This is so small as to be virtually insignificant but is mentioned for total accuracy.
There is also a little crazing, normal for Derby of this period. Still a very impressive dish which will give great
satisfaction.
